The things I didn’t accomplish this past year
I have been reviewing the things I didn’t accomplish this past year and it seems that I could have done a little better if I had kept my focus and kept at it.
Now I’ve got a question for you.
But before I ask, here’s WHY I want to ask…but first I will tell you a little about my goals.
I’ve realized that of all the things I want to accomplish in 2018 (being healthier, wealthier, and wiser…), there are two goals that are most important for me.
When I found out this past fall that I have cancer I started doing the research to find out how it can be treated without spending $50,000 on chemo and radiation. Recently (in September 2017), a group of California researchers published a paper on how the Keto (ketogenic) diet extends longevity and health. The results of a keto diet were superb – both physically and mentally.
However, when thinking about that study, here’s what I realized:
You and I already know 95% of what we need to know (particularly to be healthier).
When I look back at 2017, anything I didn’t achieve was really just because I didn’t do what I already knew I should be doing.
So that’s when I realized that for 2018, there are two goals that are more important than anything else:
- To actually do the things I already know; and
- To focus first on my energy and health, since that’s what allows me to do everything else.
It sounds so simple (but not easy)…
The problem is that we often get overwhelmed, don’t know where to start, don’t hold ourselves accountable, or just let life get in the way.
So here’s my question for you: What do you want for 2018?
